Thoughts On SEP IRA Plans

Just started a new job that uses
SEP IRA Plans instead of a 401k plan. Looks like I have some research to do, now, as I haven’t the slightest idea how SEP IRAs work.
I’ve been researching Sep Plans on the Internet this afternoon - found some decent beginner information. There’s still a lot to learn, though.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to set things up once and be done with it. Use dollar-cost averaging to smooth things out over time.
Let me know what you think about all this.

Thoughts On Sustainable Investing

I’ve decided to focus on
Sustainable Investing from here on out. I’m firmly convinced that green business is good business, and I believe that the future belongs to companies that take conservation seriously.
I’m especially excited about the potential of Reforestation Products. Green enterprise and eco-friendly business practices are absolutely essential to our future.
There’s no longer a need to compromise between profits and responsibility - there are plenty of great businesses out there that can offer both.
More on this soon.

Issues With Student Loans No Co-Signer

So lately I’ve been wondering about Student Loans No Co-Signer.
I’d rather not have to ask Dad to co-sign on my loans. I just don’t want to deal with it.
I’ve done some research on the Internet on Student Loans with No Co-Signer. What a depressing process it’s been.
Taking on that much debt terrifies me, but I’m hoping it will be worth it in the end.
What do you think?

Fake Certifiers - Rare Coins

Like every business, there are those individuals who are ready and willing to take advantage of the ignorant or uninformed about a product or a business. In the rare coins industry, a fake certification can affect the entire rare coin market. While this may seem absurd, it is very true. A coin that is graded higher than its actual value will drive up the cost of coins. The sad fact is there are either fake certifiers who pretend that they represent a valid reputable firm, or create a name for themselves that closely resemble the name of an existing firm, which can especially confuse new buyers. This is why it is important for all coin traders to pay attention to whom they are dealing with and when in doubt, look them up.

Discounted Notes - make money brokering other people’s notes!

I have had the occasion to read a number of great informative articles on making money in discounted notes.  There are quite a few types of notes one can buy and sell - business notes, seller carryback notes, partial purchases, mortgage notes, and so forth.  Notes are basically IOU's that allow for the lending and oweing of money based on some sort of asset as collateral.  Property of all sorts can be collateral - homes, businesses, buildings, parts of buildings, land, cars, even boats can all have notes attached to them.  The lender provides cash in return for a regular annuity payment.  This note can then be sold on the secondary market, usually at a discount - the total value of the payments is discounted to sweeten the deal for the note buyer.  Even in today's economic, lots of money is still being able to be made in notes - and one way to do that is to broker notes from note holders to institutional buyers, who pay a broker's fee to the broker.  No license is usually necessary to broker notes - thus it is a very popular way to make money with discounted cash flows.
